The armored holder encloses the threaded scope rod, the weakest point of a sight/scope assembly, and minimizes the chance of breakage from vibrations. The new hex shape eliminates the possibility of scope turning in high vibration conditions and allows large adjustments without scope rotation. Standard 10/32.
