There is an old saying “Don’t confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up". Complete closed-minded individuals will most likely never change. We know they exist and they are going to live their life and promote their agenda in a very predictable manner. Ignorance is not and will never be a virtue. We must look beyond those types and focus on individuals who are willing and interested in making logical decisions. These are truly trying times we live in and a shadow of unprecedented depth and magnitude has been cast over our Second Amendment. Today more than ever our individual rights are under attack by those who feel firearms are the cause of crime. Many are simply misinformed and would have a different perspective if accurate information were made readily available. We must bring forth the needed knowledge of our sport and the respect firearms once held. It is time for the silent majority to be heard. To sit back and let life long decisions be made by those willing to give up a freedom they have never known should be unthinkable on our part. Yet, the papers report about yet another law passed to protect us from ourselves. Take the time to find out what laws are being proposed by our lawmakers. Think about the impact it will have and if it is necessary. Let your opinion be known, not only to elected officials, but to your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers as well. Know there are radicals on both sides of the gun issue. One side would like to see all restrictions removed and the other side will not rest until every law-abiding citizen is disarmed. The informed rational thinking people of this country must be heard. After saying that, where do you stand? I hope that you will include the freedom to bear arms on your priority list.
